"Got your money for nothin..."

Looks like Thomas Sowell has dusted off his copy of Friedman's Free to Choose.

Are you a terrorist? Earn your degree at Yale!

Sometimes, just sometimes, I think that liberalism's idea of "diversity" goes a tad bit too far. Or in this instance, what the hell are you people thinking?

Cheney's gotta gun... or was it Janie?

So I was on the Umphrey's McGee website earlier today looking through their setlists to see what my chances were of seeing All In Time performed live next Saturday, when I stumbled across a "cover" that UM did called "Cheney's Gotta Gun" to the tune of Aerosmith's "Janie's Gotta Gun." Classic. But seriously, if Umphrey's plays All in Time it will make my day/week/month. I absolutely love the song, and you need to check it out if you haven't heard it yet. The guitar work on the song is mindblowing on the song, but that's something I would expect from a band with a twin-lead setup.

And if it couldn't get worse...

So apparently if you draw an insanely distasteful cartoon, extremists will pay an easy $1 million for someone to kill you.
Oh yeah, and don't deal heroin or marijuana in Indonesia. They'll shoot you for the heroin, and they'll throw you in jail for 20 years for the chronic.

McCain strikes back...

Although I don't always agree with John McCain's positions, I do respect the fact that he seems to be one of the only Senators that actually cares about the public interest. I also have to rejoice in the fact that he doesn't hesitate to call bullshit when he smells it. I'll leave you with my favorite section of the letter:

I concluded your professed concern for the institution and the public interest was genuine and admirable. Thank you for disabusing me of such notions with your letter to me dated February 2, 2006, which explained your decision to withdraw from our bipartisan discussions. I’m embarrassed to admit that after all these years in politics I failed to interpret your previous assurances as typical rhetorical gloss routinely used in politics to make self-interested partisan posturing appear more noble. Again, sorry for the confusion, but please be assured I won’t make the same mistake again.
